This fresh, springy recipe combines our delicious oysters with bright flavors. It’s a chill and flavorful way to slurp while you enjoy your next patio party. Give this recipe a try when you want something refreshing to pair with your favorite wine or spring cocktail.
Ingredients
- Fresh Lucky Lab Oysters
- Crushed ice
- 1 cup rice wine vinegar
- 1 shallot
- 1 piece of ginger
- ½ cucumber
- 1tbsp. Sugar
- Ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp. Prepared horseradish
- 1 cup ketchup
- ¼ tsp. Hot sauce
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire
Preparation
- Prepare your mignonette by mixing the rice wine vinegar, ginger, shallots, sugar, cucumber, and black pepper.
- Cover and chill for an hour.
- While the mignonette is chilling, mix the horseradish, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, lemon zest, and hot sauce to make a cocktail sauce.
- Shuck your Lucky Labs from Purcells, leaving them on the half shell. Arrange them on the crushed ice.
- Serve with the mignonette and cocktail sauce on the side for easy topping based on your guest’s preferences.
