Spring Oysters: Fresh Oysters with Charred Spring Onion and Wakame

Nothing says spring like the merroir of fresh Virginia oysters and crisp spring onions. This is a great recipe for some of your first cookouts of the season– it’s quick, easy, and delicious. Fire up the grill, order your Lucky Lab, and give this recipe a go!

Ingredients:

  • Lucky Lab Oysters, freshly shucked
  • 6 spring onions
  • ½ tsp. Toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tsp. Soy sauce
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp. Wakame salad

How to Make:

  • Start by shucking your Lucky Lab oysters, and placing them on a chilled platter.
  • Heat your grill to around 290 degrees
  • Clean the grill grates.
  • Coat your spring onions with olive oil and grill them directly until the outer layer is charred. This should take about 5 minutes, make sure to turn them regularly
  • Once they’re done, peel away the outer layers
  • Mix the sesame oil and soy sauce
  • Top the oysters with the mixture
  • Add the grilled onion 
  • Finish with wakame salad and sesame seeds
  • Serve immediately
