Free Rangers - Wild Caught
Our Free Ranger oysters are grown and harvested the traditional way on our private oyster bars in Virginia’s finest oyster-growing rivers, the Rappahannock, Great Wicomico, and Little Wicomico.
We manage and harvest over 600 acres of wild oyster grounds. Tending and managing the bars the same way the Waterman of the Chesapeake have for hundreds of years. Grown on the bottom of the river in naturally occurring bars, the Free Ranger oyster is our biggest and meatiest oyster. Perfect for grilling in the backyard.
Due to the traditional growing methods, the Free Ranger offers a more mineral and grassy profile with a slightly salty finish. The Free Ranger pairs handsomely with lazy afternoons, single-malt bourbon, and wood fires.

These arrived and we immediately consumed a dozen. Then after shucking I made a creamy oyster bisque.
Hopefully, today we will finish up the other dozen. We will order again
Two out of three of us sampling these oysters spent two days in bed after eating the oysters, Don't know if it was the oysters, but the timing suggests that it was. we eat oysters all the time, but this may have been the luck of the draw.
I've tried several companies. These were the best. Perfect for eating raw and made the best Rockefeller.
Went “Oysters Three Ways”. Raw cocktail from the “Shucked Jar”, Oysters Rockafellow “Free Rangers” ,Then couple dozen “Free Rangers” slightly baked in the oven. All great, wonderful feast
Best oysters I have had in a long, long time huge great taste easy to open everything that you want. I strongly recommend. I’ll be sure to order again.
