Our most petite oyster, the Lieutenant's Choice, is hand-raised in aquaculture cages on Little and Great Wicomico rivers.

Our cultured oysters start their life right here at Purcell’s Seafood. We start our cultured oysters in our onsite nursery. And we raise ‘em right all the way to your table.

Raised in elevated bottom cages, the Lieutenant’s Choice is nourished by the constant flow of bay water, producing a succulent oyster in a deep cup and pearly white shell.

The Lieutenant’s Choice offers a milder salinity with a tangy finish. Measuring in at a petit 2.5 inches, the Lieutenant's catch is perfect for on the half shell. It pairs with the breezy mid-mornings, hangovers, and tequila shots.
